Four short films to present Iran in US film events

Four Iranian short films have been selected to appear on screen in competition sections of two international film festivals in the US. 

The 21st round of Extremely Shorts Film Festival in Texas State of southern U.S. will host three Iran ultrashort films, each delivering a complete story.

The lineup includes Saman Hosseinpour’s ‘Last Hug’, Mahmoud Kameli’s ‘First Station’ and ‘College of Girls’ by Hassan Alizadeh.

Iran animated film 'Balance' by Barzan Rostami has also gone to the final stage of the Cosmic Film Festival in the US.

Started in 1998, the Extremely Shorts Festival is a juried competition of adventurous three-minute or shorter films and videos from around the world.

Likewise, the Cosmic Film Festival is an event to celebrate women in film and innovative filmmakers from around the world.

Extremely Shorts Film Festival is to run on May 18-19, 2018 while Cosmic film event will be launched on June 15-17, 2018.
